Arbory Retreat 2025
At Abory, we believe in working hard and playing just as hard. That’s why we prioritize an annual company summit to strengthen our team, boost collaboration, and take a well-deserved break. This year, we headed to Beech Mountain, North Carolina, for a retreat filled with adventure and meaningful connections.
The drive up was smooth, leading us to a breathtaking mountain lodge with stunning views and a cozy atmosphere. Located near the ski resort, it provided the perfect balance of relaxation and excitement. Whether by the fire or on the slopes, we had plenty of opportunities to connect outside of our usual work routines.
In a remote work environment, in-person interactions can be rare, making retreats like this essential for strengthening relationships. While technology keeps us productive, nothing replaces face-to-face bonding. As a newer employee, I found this experience invaluable—it allowed me to meet colleagues I may never have interacted with otherwise and fostered stronger, more personal connections.
Beyond the social aspect, company retreats help us recharge. Taking a step back from daily tasks and immersing ourselves in nature allows us to return with fresh perspectives and renewed energy. Skiing, snowboarding, and simply spending time together contributed to overall well-being, reinforcing the importance of work-life balance.
The retreat wasn’t just about fun—it was a reflection of Abory’s commitment to its people. It showed that the company values its employees beyond their output, recognizing that strong morale and engagement are key to long-term success. Investing in experiences like this fosters a thriving and connected workplace.
As we packed up to leave, there was a shared sense of gratitude. The memories made and connections built will carry over into our daily work, making us a more cohesive team. Looking ahead, we’re already excited for the next retreat, knowing that these experiences are more than just perks—they’re essential to building a supportive and engaged workforce.
At Abory, we understand that success isn’t just about productivity; it’s about people. And sometimes, the best way to strengthen a team is by stepping away from the routine, embracing adventure, and enjoying the journey together.
